Textile waste disposal through thermo-chemical processing
Project funding: Textile Future Forum, £100k
Project lenght: 1 year, 2016
The aim of this project was to design, build and test a novel integrated textile waste to energy system able to convert textile processed waste from a variety of textile industries into carbon neutral renewable energy and added value products such as advanced composite materials for textiles applications.
The project was run in collaboration with Harris Tweed and the School of Textiles and Design at Heriot-Watt University.
